Lea T. has held the fickle fashion world’s attention since she came out as Riccardo Tichi’s muse and appeared in Givenchy’s Fall 2010 ad campaign. She’s appeared in French Vogue in a definitely-NSFW shoot and walked the runway for Alexandre Herchcovitch just a few days ago in San Paolo Fashion Week.
Not suprisingly, her popularity is far from waning, as evidenced by her appearance on TWO of three Love magazine covers for the Spring/Summer 2011 issue — one smooching Kate Moss and one solo. Of course, this begs the question: Is this because Lea T. is a transsexual (pre-op, if you saw French Vogue) and it’s uber-PC and so “modern,” or is it because Lea T. is a great model? If she weren’t a transsexual, would she have achieved the same level of success?
