VIDEO: Jude Law Shows up for Sienna Miller at the Twenty8Twelve Show
9.20.10London Fashion Week is going full force and our favorite home-wrecking hussy, Sienna Miller, showed her line, Twenty8Twelve to a packed house, which included her off and on lover Jude Law. The clothes, as a whole, are unremarkable, and the most fun we had watching was playing the Jude Law version of “Where’s Waldo?”.

VIDEO: ACNE Spring/Summer 2011 Collection at LONDON Fashion Week
9.19.10We here adore Swedish line Acne for its simple and unfussy sexiness. Their S/S 2011 line just showed in a small venue and sheer pieces, subdued metallics, boxy toppers and high-waisted hot pants dominated–many of them to be worn interchangeably. We’ll pass on the hot pants, but will take virtually every other piece. Enjoy!

IMAGES: Scenes from New York Fashion Week/Lincoln Center
9.15.10This was the first year that Fashion Week hoopla made its way to the Upper West Side at Lincoln Center, and judging from its expansiveness and ease of navigation, Lincoln Center fits fashion perfectly.
Check out our shots of the fashionable, the famous (Vogue’s Stephanie LaCava, blogger Susie Bubble and actress Milla Jovovich) and the hangers-on (because fashionableness–real word, I swear– is next to Tom Fordness. Or something).
We also saw lots of amazing shoes and a guy who looks like Hamish Bowles’ hillbilly cousin.

Fashion’s Night Out San Diego Snoozefest
9.13.10As you can see from the previous post, Fashion’s Night Out in NYC was mayhem–people streaming in and out of shops, celebs out of context, and most importantly, endless champagne! Our correspondent in NYC was able to rub elbows (almost) with Karl Lagerfeld, buy cutesy Marc Jacobs accessories out of a truck and generally participate in the NYC-as-a-shopping-block-party festivities.
Unfortunately, the same or even vaguely similar cannot be said for San Diego, where I was stuck. I had hopes for at least a semblance of what I experienced in NYC the prior year. Not to be had. Based on the Fashion’s Night Out website, Neiman Marcus seemed the most promising, so when my companion and I arrived, we were flummoxed when the woman manning the door informed us we were supposed to RSVP because they were at capacity. Huh? After she didn’t let us in, we changed our strategy and hit up another entrance and acted confused when we weren’t on the RSVP list. After we got in, there were some passed trays and some champagne and a half-hearted fashion show. Snooze.
What about other shops? How about Henri Bendel or Hermes or Betsey Johnson? We hit them all and no one was there, save for a few cute shop boys in horse heads at Hermes and some mini-cupcakes at Betsey Johnson. Check out the photos below and try not to develop narcolepsy.

IMAGES: Fashion’s Night Out Mayhem in NYC
9.12.10Fashion’s Night Out in New York City was another crazy night filled with celebs, parties, free champagne and shopping!
Here are our champagne-fueled shots from the evening–from Karl Lagerfeld’s arrival at the Chanel Soho boutique to traffic shutdown in front of Sephora, courtesy of Gwen Stefani.
The masses waiting for Victoria’s Secret Angels Doutzen Kroes, Chanel Iman and Adriana Lima to flap their wings (or sign autographs).
Prada, Michael Kors shop exteriors and live models at Agent Provocateur and Y-3. Where do you apply for that job?
We just died and went to Chanel heaven. Chanel Soho shop exterior, interior, makeup counter (where the new Les Khakis de Chanel was flying off the shelves and onto New Yorkers’ nails) and KARL LAGERFELD’S arrival!
The fashionable at D&G and Betsey Johnson.
Gwen Stefani shutting down traffic in front of Sephora on Broadway to promote Harajuku Lovers’ newest fragrance collection.
And our vote for the cutest idea of the evening–the custom Marc Jacobs accessories pop-up truck outside Bloomingdales Soho!

Then check out the Non-Fashion People’s Fashion’s Night Out at Partners & Spade where Vena Cava and Subports are selling one-of-a-kind creations handmade by people with no connection to the fashion industry, including a police officer, a toddler, an Oklahoma farmer, some prisoners and designer Lisa Mayock’s dad.

Marc Jacobs Wears a Skirt and Carries a Birkin to Jury Duty
5.13.10Aaahh, if only the average person were so glam at jury duty. Marc Jacobs wore a kilt and carried a Birkin to jury duty earlier this week. Word on the street is that he served only two days before being let go.

5.12.10Renowned Sex and the City costume designer Patricia Field teamed up with Skyy Vodka to produce a limited-edition bottle to coincide with the opening of the Sex and the City 2 movie. Aiming to marry the glamour of the movie with the sophistication of Skyy cocktails, the new chic bottle is sure to become an instant collector’s item! (My bottles will be, ehem, empty, but still.)

C’est Vrai! Ralph Lauren Flagship Store Opens in Paris
5.9.10Ralph Lauren opened up his first flagship store (and restaurant!) in Paris’s historic Saint Germain district. At 23,000 square feet, it features the full men’s and women’s collections, as well as accessories.
‘I wanted to create a unique environment that captures the glamour, culture and the artistic spirit of the Paris that I have fallen in love with. Now, with this store opening, in the most romantic part of the city, I finally feel I have been able to tell my whole story in Paris.’ said Ralph Lauren.
Even if you’re not a fan of the clothes, go to check out the amazing 16th century architecture— the facade features classical French architecture in lime stone with carvings and ornaments. The interior is Rococo style, with ‘Versaille’ style flooring, plaster moulding and carvings.
