$149.00 Jeffery Campbell lulus.com
Just discovered this site today and went through it to pick out the creme de la creme for you. In all honestly a great majority of the clothes on the site seem like they would look cheap in person, but the accessories rock! Stay away form the no name shoes (esp. if you are a NYer). Have fun and let us know if you find anything good on the site. (We know you will!)

Your Bones Are Showing

My love for all things freaky has struck again, this time in the form of Delfina Delettrez’s hand bracelet. This gold and silver creation features a real ruby on the ring “finger” and was hand made in Rome. Be the gothest of the goth for a mere $8,310.

Nordstrom Rack Coming to Union Square!
8.4.09
Goodbye Virgin, Hello Nordstrom Rack!
The rumors are true, Nordstrom Rack will be taking over the space formerly known as the Virgin Megastore. We predict this will not fair well for discount neighbor Filene’s basement, as the selection at Nordstrom Rack is far superior. Apparently “The Rack” will be making discount duds available to us by this spring. I’m pumped!

Pasties: Not Just for Strippers?

I don’t know if we should applaud these women for keeping their nips covered, or reprimand them for trying to make “stripper chic” happen. Is it me or is there a new trend emerging? Pasties? Leggings with knee pads? I’m starting to see a pattern here! Are you more likely to don pasties or knee-friendly leggings? Let us know in the comment section!

Salvor Eye Scarf

Rabbit on the Run $79
Please don’t ask why I’m thinking about neckwear on a hot day like today. (I have no clue.) The Salvor eye scarf just grabbed my attention, and I ran with it. I’m digging this insane scarf, and would love to come blowing into the corner deli for a cup of joe, in something this breathtaking. (Le sigh, le sigh, le sigh.) Moving onto the androgynous one. I heart the sweet little hearts painted on this scarf. It reminds me of an expensive version of something I once made in school. These hearts have a little bit of sass, just like us.

Fab Vintage Jewelry Found at Billy’s Antiques and Props
7.22.09Resourceful fashionistas will find fashion anywhere–even at Billy’s Antiques and Props–the crazypants green tent on the Bowery with furniture out front at the corner of E. Houston and Elizabeth. I didn’t think I could accessorize with the stuffed dog or the punk rock religious knick knacks they were hawking inside the tent. I could, however, accessorize with THESE:

Photo: Miller Oberlin
Fabtastic VINTAGE costume jewelry from the 40s through 80s, and priced from $10 to $30! I scored a great gold medallion necklace with cream beads circa 1977 for only 15 bucks! (Of course, I can’t find the photo.) I kind of felt like it was something the pope would wear, but eff it! Fashion IS a religion.

Betsey Johnson: Dirt Cheap

Day Dresses $50
Got a chance to check the sale out today, and found the prices were super cheap! Dresses are either $50 or $75, bottoms about $50, and sweaters $35. No purses, but tons of make-up bags ranging from $10-$25. Shoes are all $40 but the sizes are quite limited, as are the styles. They also have some jewelry and swimsuits, right in front of the cash register. Def. worth checking out for the dresses, and don’t be afraid to elbow one of the rich middle schoolers there shopping for her next Bat Mitzvah dress.

Necking- You Know you Want It
7.13.09A few miraculous necklaces for your viewing pleasure.

Oscar De La Renta $990
There is nothing we couldn’t do if we had this necklace. All you need are some very high heels and viola you’re ready for anything! I can imagine Victoria Beckham wearing this to bed.

Fiona Paxton $300
I know I posted a different version of this necklace last month, but I just love it! She has about ten variations of this necklace out. I guess Fiona knows a good thing when she designs it.

Vera Wang $1,250 and worth every cent
This necklace is pure magic, and the sheer reason every woman wishes Vera was a part of her wedding. This necklace would make anyone think your cheapie dress was designer.

House of Harlow $65
I had my doubts about Nicole Ritchie’s jewelry line before it came out, but she has made a believer out of me. The black geometric pieces are made of leather!

Ranjana Khan $525
I have never heard of this designer, but clearly I need to ask someone! This strikes me as very Kate Moss, something she would throw over a simple Top Shop jersey dress, just before heading out for dinner with one of the unfortunate souls she insists on dating.

Urban $68
I would look like as epic asshole in this, but if you can pull it off, I will be the jealous chick at the bar shooting you the side eye.

Ken and Dana $475
I just found out about this brand today and it is def worth checking out! The Manhattan pendant is an expensive shout out to the capital of the world. NYC 4-EVA, bitches.

Knuckle Jewelry- Fighting Fashion
7.12.09On my flight yesterday, I had the honor of sitting next to a lovely lady who had some of the coolest jewelry! It took everything I had not to slip her rings off while she was sleeping. (Just kidding….sort of.) Anyway, as an ode to my restraint, I give you knuckle rings:

Bijules $218 at 80spurple.com

Miss Bibi $115 at pixiemarket.com

Made Her Think $88 from shopbop.com
And, if you need a little more utility from your ring, say skulls and storage for instance:

Finally, a place to keep my mace
Only Alexander Mcqueen could come up with this. (Love him!) So the moral of the story is: Whether you’re kicking ass literally or figuratively, a knuckle ring is essential.

Yes, We can All Pretend to be Hot Tennis Players
7.5.09In honor of the amazing Roger Federer (I just call him “Rog”) and his win at Wimbledon against Andy Roddick, we’d like to discuss Roger’s signature fashion item, the terry headband. I honestly think that Roddick’s fashion choice at Wimbledon played a part in his loss, but, hey, that’s just me. Roddick’s backwards “bro” cap did nothing to improve his chances of winning, while Rog’s headband–stylish AND practical–helped give him the athletic and style edge he needed.

Now, who looks like a winner? Fab jacket with gold accents or boring polo?
At the post-match ceremony, Andy could’ve stepped it up, but no. He let Rog outshine him AGAIN in a white zip up jacket with gold accents. Could Rog be heading straight to P. Diddy’s yacht in St. Tropez? In that fabulous initial jacket, HELL, YES!

This is how we feel at sample sales, too, Rog.
Now that you’re sufficiently convinced on the necessity of headband, you can run your asses over to American Apparel and get yours, too! If you really want to go crazy, consider adding the matching terry wristband, but don’t blame us if people start chasing you down the street to beat you with tennis rackets to steal them the way Nike Air Jordans are stolen in the ghetto.

American Apparel meets Wimbledon
