Lust-worthy Outfit of the Week
11.28.09Hi, kids! Sorry for the lack of posts, but what with the holidays and Black Friday and the weather changing and extra leaves on the ground. . . ok, so there is no real excuse and we feel bad but what’s the point in beating ourselves up? We’re only human. (Super-cute humans, but still.)
Never mind that–we’re back with a super-fab outfit we found from Need Supply, nay, not an outfit but when paired with a 1969 BMW 2002 that you’ll be zipping down Highway 1 along the Big Sur Coastline in, AN ENTIRE LIFESTYLE. Vvvvroooom, let’s get to it!First thing–pants:

Angel Knee Jeans by Maise $195
The amazing insets at the knee give these jeans an unexpected eye-catching appeal. Though I think if you are on your knees a lot, “Angel” would be a misnomer. Har.
A leather jacket is a staple this or any other season. Faux leather has come a long way, baby, with improvements in texture and touch, so much so, that you can’t tell the difference much of the time. Check out the faux leather jacket below:

Crop Moto Jacket $58
The adorable cut and modern take on motorcycle styling (not to mention the price!) makes this a must-have. At least I must have it. (Maybe because I have a shopping addiction, but that’s a subject for another post.)
Driving gloves are a must-have if you actually plan on driving, but cute cutoff gloves will do just as well.

Doubs Gloves by Free People $28
These adorable wool blend gloves come in grey (my favorite, because apparently, I’m scared of color), red, and black. How cute are the buttons! They’re as cute as a button. Sorry.
For the pièce de résistance, you must get a 2002 BMW.

To get a little philosophical on you folks (we’re not just superficial fashion-obsessed, extremely stylish young ladies, you know), fashion should fit your lifestyle, complement it and enrich it. Fashion cannot live in a vacuum, but must have activities and endeavors to feed it. Therefore, we’re about to troll Craigslist for BMW 2002s right now to go with our Doubs gloves. Au revoir!!

Yee Haw! Crotchless Panty Roundup!
11.3.09We always like to brighten up your drab workday with a little bit of crotchless fun! Not only are crotchless panties fun, they also serve an important utilitarian purpose (one that needs no explanation).
Here are some of our favorites!
Frederick’s of Hollywood, cheesy as it may seem, actually had the widest variety. From ruffles to lace, these underthings all had one thing in common, easy access for the girl on the run.

Ruffled Lace Crotchless Hipster Panty
Booty Parlor (a sexy web site that doesn’t make us feel dirty) specializes in romantic accessories and lingerie. We like the panty below with the big, big bow!

Peepshow Princess Crotchless Cheeky Panty
Her Room sells underthings from Leg Avenue, including this butterfly delight for only $5! For that price, you can buy a whole flutter (yes, I looked up the name for a group of butterflies).

Leg Avenue Butterfly Crotchless Thong
For a bit of color and spin on the word “crotchless” we suggest Agent Provocateur‘s ouvert series of knickers. Pricey but worth it (and, if you have a problem with the word “crotchless” which I do, you won’t find it anywhere on the site! They refer to a “naughty opening” which has more than one meaning, obv. and har har!)

Jodie Ouvert Brief
With such a selection of naughty underthings available, we suggest wearing them to work as a secret only you and your office affair will know about. Ssssshhhhhhhh!!!

Nous Adorons Sonia Rykiel pour H&M Lingerie!
11.2.09After hearing about the Sonia Rykiel pour H&M line of knitwear, lingerie and accessories, we picked ourselves off the floor and proceeded to use our investigative journalism skills to find out what we could about this collision of high-end French fashion and mass retailer. Sonia Rykiel is gracing the masses with her romantic French sensibility by creating a line that channels vintage in a modern way. After taking a look at the sneak peek photos, we have to say, this is indeed a marriage made in (lingerie) heaven.

Sonia Rykiel Pour H&M
We ABSOLUTELY ADORE the pale pink color, high-waisted briefs, boning (hehe) and (of course) the garters. Our favorite is the one at the far right. Below, we see nothing wrong with rosettes on the arse and velvet pajama pants. We can imagine any of these would heat up cold winter nights.

Sonia Rykiel Pour H&M
H&M creative advisor Margareta van den Bosch in a statement, ”This is a totally modern, new kind of lingerie look, and when we started to work together with Rykiel on it, we just couldn’t stop.” Can’t stop, won’t stop!
It seems somewhat reminicient of Catherine Deveuve’s “wardrobe” in Belle de Jour:

Catherine Deneuve
The seductive lingerie line will hit 1,500 select H&M shops and Rykiel’s own high-end boutiques on December 5th, and we highly suggest taking the morning off, or else someone else will get your bored-housewife-who-prostitutes-herself-in-the-afternoon lingerie.

Street Baubles: Urban Jewelry by Liesbeth Busssche
10.25.09
photos via designboom
We don’t suggest trying to wear earrings this size, but Belgian artist Liesbeth Busssche designs jewery for the streets of Amsterdam.

If you want to see more of Busssche, check out her web site. She’s currently exhibiting at the ‘What’s New?’ exhibition at Galerie Sofie Lachaert in Belgium until November 8. If you’re in the hood, swing by! We feel more cities should accessorize their city like this–it’s interesting, eye-catching yet discreet–all of the qualities a woman should try to cultivate. We try here at FMMH, but we’re apparently works in progress! (The hardest part for us is the discreet part–how can hurricanes be discreet?)
Also, to try to organize our scattered and varied interests, we will be launching more “makes me horny” blogs, including design, art and music, so stay tuned!

3.) If you see something you like...GRAB IT! and DON'T put it down! once you release an item physically just to free your arm, it's fair game.
4.) Shop on a full stomach (but not too full, lest the bloat depress you and keep you from buying anything), so that you are focused and you don't get overwhelmed by the vast selection or the crowds.
5.) Wear comfy shoes and if you try clothes, make sure you're wearing the right undergarments because all sales are final!
GOOD LUCK AND WE’LL SEE YOU THERE!

Fab and Frugal: Swatch Astonishs Supermodel Aggie
9.28.09A newly-brunette Agyness Deyn is apparently taken by Swatch Watches. These delightful strips of plastic not only tell time, but come in loads of colors.

Chameleon Aggie

Do models know how to tell time? On a Swatch, they do.
During Fashion Week, Deyn rocked Swatch’s Color the Sky model. For only $55, you can pretty much buy one for every day of the week.

Unbelievable Finds at Housing Works’ NEW Vault Couture Closet!
9.24.09
As if Housing Works wasn’t already known for having the most upscale thrift wares in the NYC, they had to go and drop a couture bomb on us in the form of The Vault–couture and designer clothes and accessories to die for (refer back to bomb reference–har). They keep this room locked up at their Soho location Anyway, I had to drop by to make sure women weren’t fainting over the deals and it turns out, I was the one who fainted. Check out what they had:

Yes, those are Gucci boots in the middle

Dior gloves and Balenciaga boots
Dare I go on? I seriously think Housing Works has a deal with the designer devil. How else do they get their hands on so much designer and couture clothes and accessories? OK, I ended up making a deal with the Chanel devil, but guess what? The platform suede Chanel ankle boots with metal toes normally would cost four figures. I PAID $200!! (And, I’m not telling anyone where I live or what size they are, lest I get robbed.)

Kicking couture ass!
My Chanel boots were a little lonely all by themselves, so I had to get them a friend in a form of a vintage Gucci woven clutch…

This only cost $100

BFFs
I also ended up buying a pair of raspberry-colored elbow length leather gloves, which will also be quite friendly with my Chanel and Gucci.
Luckily, The Vault will be restocking every week with 50-100 new designer items. I almost went home with both Stella McCartney and Alexander McQueen, but felt like a fashion whore. For those of you with no shame, you can make an appointment by emailing thevault@housingworks.org. Appointments are available Tuesday-Friday from 10-6. For those unfortunate souls who don’t live in NYC, you can check out fab deals online at shophousingworks.com.

Necklaces Pop Up Where We Least Expect Them!!
8.24.09If you have a death wish (or a ripped earlobe wish) I recommend this Dechel rendition:

Photo: 80spurple.com
For $53 you can both look like a fool and score another visit with your hot plastic surgeon. (I say this because my friend ripped her lobes and had them reconstructed by a ridiculously hot doc. You know who you are.) And next on our list we have some fun tops from Haute Hippie (btw nearly everything they design makes us horny!) :

If you were reading one of those”recession” blogs right now, we might say something like “And you can take the necklace OFF the shirt, and wear it with a completely different outfit!” But you’re not, so we won’t.

Lustworthy Item Alert- Summertime Suede Alaia Gloves!
8.23.09You may think I’m insane for suggesting suede gloves for the summer, but trust me, these are SOOOOO badass that’s you’ll be jumping on the “gloves in the summertime” trend faster than Rachel Zoe can run to the bathroom to purge the five leaves of lettuce she had for lunch (butter lettuce IS higher in calories, you know). First thing–these are made by the legendary Azzedine Alaia–meaning they’re really an investment (better than the Vegas condo you bought in 2004 for 300K, expected to flip in a year for 500K, except now it’s worth 210K, but I digress). Second–you can buy them in pounds sterling or in euros–so you feel chic just buying them (until you figure out you don’t know the exchange rate and find out you paid $500). Find them on the Eurochic web site (discovered by my ever-vigilant blog partner) called Matches.

Photo: matchesfashion.com
Imagine wearing these with a cute strapless floral dress to give it a rock ‘n roll edge or a grey jersey shift to add an interesting dimension to its minimalism. OR, for the daring ones out there, just wear them with a black bra and panty set from Agent Provocateur for your significant (label-appreciating) other.

Photo: matchesfashion.com
Apparently, I have a pair of shoes that go perfectly (hand in glove, har har) with these gloves–checky here:
