Also it is a rarity to see her in flats, never mind this very pedestrian pair from Nine West. She would totally do Chanel! This next pair is an awful brand, but even worse is the cheap looking detailing and unmistakeable case of the fugs these shoes have!

I’m not sure if Piperlime or Rachel herself is at fault, but even I wouldn’t wear any of this crap, and I don’t have access to the most covetable brands in the world a la Ms. Z!

Sometimes even I suffer from a bit of shoppers remorse, so I bought these yesterday at Urban Outfitters for $35 and I’m questioning their appeal. They were originally $98, but yesterday all UO sale items were an extra 50% off, which rocked. Get ye down to Urban today and check it out. The good news is most hipsters are at the pool party in Williamsburg right now, so you should have the sale section mostly to yourself.

Day Dresses $50

Got a chance to check the sale out today, and found the prices were super cheap! Dresses are either $50 or $75, bottoms about $50, and sweaters $35. No purses, but tons of make-up bags ranging from $10-$25. Shoes are all $40 but the sizes are quite limited, as are the styles. They also have some jewelry and swimsuits, right in front of the cash register. Def. worth checking out for the dresses, and don’t be afraid to elbow one of the rich middle schoolers there shopping for her next Bat Mitzvah dress.

FMMH: I read that you held your first fashion show in your apartment and you had quite the guest list, including top fashion editors. Did Andy Warhol show?

CR: No, he wasn’t there. He was invited.

FMMH: Who showed up that you didn’t expect to show up?

CR: The editor-in-chief of Women’s Wear Daily and people from Vogue and People magazine. They all came and wrote about it. I think they all thought it was a little rough around the edges but super creative.

FMMH: Do you think your daughters will follow in your fashionable footsteps or are they over it?

CR: Kit just got back from her skateboard  lesson from her friend Myra, so she’s like a pro-skater chick. I don’t know, we’ll see. I’m not really pushing it.

FMMH: We know you design bicycles and that you’re a big surfer. Do you think you’ll come out with a line of Cynthia Rowley surfboards?

CR: Well that’s funny you should ask…(turns and whispers something to her publicist) ummmmm, stay tuned.

FMMH: You’ve used recycled materials from seasons past in a recent collection. Will you continue to do that?

CR: We did it for Resort and we’re trying to use a lot of things that are made from recycled materials. Not just our recycled materials but all recycled materials. I guess I should be more specific, to be totally accurate about it.

FMMH: Is there anything about your Spring Collection 2010 and where you’ll be showing in September?

CR: No, I can’t tell you anything, I can’t tell you anything. (With a mischievous look on her face)

CR: Actually we’re going to show at Gotham Hall and that’s all I can tell you. It is top, top secret. Stayed tuned!

I had my doubts about Nicole Ritchie’s jewelry line before it came out, but she has made a believer out of me. The black geometric pieces are made of leather!

I have never heard of this designer, but clearly I need to ask someone! This strikes me as very Kate Moss, something she would throw over a simple Top Shop jersey dress,  just before heading out for dinner with one of the unfortunate souls she insists on dating.

I would look like as epic asshole in this, but if you can pull it off, I will be the jealous chick at the bar shooting you the side eye.

I just found out about this brand today and it is def worth checking out! The Manhattan pendant is an expensive shout out to the capital of the world. NYC 4-EVA, bitches.

Well, kiddies, even the Big “K” shops at Zara! The recession is really fashionable these days, what with celebs claiming they shop where the masses shop (incidentally, my sister’s sister-in-law just saw Kim at Fred Segal in L.A.–which is not exactly TJ Maxx). At the Three-O Vodka Launch Party at Greenhouse in Soho last night, Kim was wearing a $75 ZARA blazer which looked gorgeous over a zebra-print mini-dress:
